Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation

The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation supports efforts to strengthen HIV prevention as part of a comprehensive response that includes care and treatment. In particular, it supports projects that have the potential to provide the greatest benefit for the most people over the longest period of time. Parliamentarians for Women’s Health is made possible by a three-year $3.4 million grant from the foundation.

Rockefeller Philanthropy Advisors

Rockefeller Philanthropy Advisors helps donors create thoughtful, effective philanthropy throughout the world. Originally developed as the private philanthropy service of the Rockefeller family, it now is an independent, nonprofit service that represents the cumulative knowledge and experience of more than a century of high-quality professional service to America’s most philanthropic family. Parliamentarians for Women’s Health is using supplemental funding from Rockefeller Philanthropy Advisors to provide the parliamentarians additional skill building in areas of information sharing and technical skills, such as budget analysis.

Funds from the Parliamentarians for Women’s Health project are not used to carry on propaganda or otherwise attempt to influence specific proposed legislation or pending appropriations or introduce legislation in any country. The project will provide a reasoned, objective consideration of the relevant policy issues intended to enable participants to develop their own positions on any legislation or pending appropriations that may be discussed.
